Patricia Birch is an renowned choreographer and director for stage, screen and television. She began her career as a dancer in Broadway musicals. She has directed and choreographed music videos for Cyndi Lauper, the Rolling Stones, and Carly Simon. She earned Emmy® Awards for her direction of the television specials Natalie Cole: Unforgettable and Celebrating Gershwin and, in collaboration with Michael Tilson Thomas, she staged the concert version of On the Town performed by both the London Symphony Orchestra and the San Francisco Philharmonic Orchestra.

Ms. Birch also spent six years staging numbers for Saturday Night Live. She has performed as a soloist with Martha Graham and Agnes de Mille. In addition, Ms. Birch has been nominated five times for Broadway's Tony Award as Best Choreographer.

Patricia Birch has two Emmy Awards; five Tony nominations; a DGA nomination; and Drama Desk, Billbard, Barrymore, Fred Astaire and MTV awards for her work in all media. Choreography for originals of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown; The Me Nobody Knows; Grease; A Little Night Music; Candide (H. Prince version); Diamond Studs; Over Here; Pacific Overtures; They’re Playing Our Song; Gilda Radner Live From New York; Zoot Suit; Rosa; Street Scene (NYCO); The Cradle Will Rock (Acting Co. revival); The Happy End; Parade; Robert Atman’s A Wedding (Chicago Lyric Opera). Direction as well as choreography: I Sent a Letter to My Love, Really Rosie, Raggedy Ann, Elvis, The Mass, Band in Berlin (Barrymore awards); The Snow Queen; Lawyers, Lovers and Lunatics. Recently: Of Thee I Sing/Let ’Em Eat Cake, The Thomashevsky Project and Rossignol with the San Francisco Symphony. Film: Grease, Grease II, The Wild Party, Roseland, Big, Awakenings, Working Girl, Stella, Billy Bathgate, First Wives Club, The Human Stain, The Stepford Wives, Nanny Diaries.
